A robust quality management system (QMS) is key to ensuring the efficacy, quality and safety of tissues and cells for human application.
Tissue establishments (TEs) need to implement a QMS to ensure that tissues and cells for human application comply with the applicable technical and legal requirements in a consistent manner. The concept of quality management in this field has evolved significantly in recent decades, compelling TEs to continually adapt to new requirements.
With the support of the European Commission, the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM)/Council of Europe is organising an online training course on Quality Management for Tissue Establishments.
This free course will provide TEs in Europe with the tools required to successfully implement a QMS for all their processes, from identification of potential donors to processing and storage of the tissues or cells and final preparation for human application.
