Role: Scientific assistant – Quality Assurance and Process Management Certification of Substances Department (DCEP)
Grade: B3 /B4 depending on experience

The EDQM’s Certification of Substances Department (DCEP) is seeking a temporary scientific assistant who has skills and short experience in quality assurance, to help play a critical role in fostering a “quality culture” within the DCEP and provide essential support for the accurate reporting of data.
The role will focus on:
- assisting with the organisation, co-ordination, implementation and continuous improvement and ensuring/maintaining the coherence of the EDQM’s Quality Management System (QMS) across the department,
- checking the CEP certificates before they are signed, sent to applicants and listed in the CEP database;
- collecting and checking results against performance indicators, preparing regular activity reports (including graphical data) for approval and publishing on the EDQM website; and
- taking part in departmental and/or EDQM continuous improvement initiatives with the aim of eliminating inefficiencies and streamlining processes, as needed.

We are looking for candidates with the following competencies:
- a higher education degree or qualification (equivalent to the 1st cycle of the Bologna process framework of qualifications for the European Higher Education Area) in science, e.g. chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or other relevant subject;
- very good knowledge of one of the two official languages of the Council of Europe (English/French) and good knowledge of the other, in both oral and written communication;
- short professional experience in a quality role in the pharmaceutical/chemical industry or a related sector applying standards such as ISO 9001 or GMP.
