Inappropriate use of medicines can result in sub-optimal medication outcomes and significant health damage for patients and can reduce the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare systems.
On 11 March 2020, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted a new Resolution CM/Res(2020)3 on the implementation of pharmaceutical care for the benefit of patients and health services. This resolution defines a framework for promoting and implementing the concept of pharmaceutical care in national health systems.
This webinar explains the background to the resolution and how it can be used by policy makers and stakeholders. It also covers the content of the resolution and its added value and provide some practical examples on its implementation in daily practice at national level.
