EDQM Open Day – A day for all to enjoy!
The European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM), part of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, will open its doors to the public for an afternoon of fun and discovery for all. The event is part of the EDQM’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

This is a rare opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how the EDQM contributes to public health in Europe and beyond, and how that contribution is crucial for people’s health and well-being. Join us for an afternoon packed with educational activities and discover how the EDQM has been helping protect public health since 1964. Interactive videos, displays, quizzes and games for all ages will be part of the fun.

Let’s celebrate better health for all, together. Everyone is invited!
We have prepared activities for visitors of all ages. Information will be available in French and English, but our team is international, so you will be able to ask questions in other languages too.
Participation is free.
1. The EDQM since 1964 – Discover our history with an exhibition and a video projection.
2. The EDQM today – Come and meet us at information stands (medicines, blood donation, tissue, cell and organ transplantation, cosmetics and other health products, etc.).
3. The EDQM and tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities – Discover our perspectives through videos.
4. The EDQM and its partners, working together internationally – Learn more about the importance of collaboration to advance “better health, for all” (video).
- Come one, come all – Our premises are fully accessible to persons with limited mobility.
- Travel light – All bags and backpacks will be scanned by security at the entry to the building.
- We will take photos and videos to promote the EDQM and our Open Day online, during and after the event.
- If you can, we invite you to walk/cycle/use public transport to come to the EDQM. No onsite parking will be available.
