Senior scientific assistant – Official Cosmetics Control Laboratories Network- Intergovernmental Committees and Networks Department (ICND)

Grade: B5

Salary: around €5500 per month (gross)

Location: Strasbourg (France)

Contract Type: Temporary (12 months max)

The EDQM’s Networks division is seeking a temporary Senior scientific assistant to join the OCCL team. As a Senior scientific assistant, you will:

  • provide administrative and scientific support to the co-ordination of the activities of the OCCLs;
  • draft working documents (study protocols, study reports, etc.) and take part in scientific and technical exchanges with members of the OCCL Network;
  • participate in the development of an OCCL Network database (organisation of data, user testing, recovery of existing data)

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • hold a higher education degree or qualification (equivalent to the 1st cycle of the Bologna process framework of qualifications for the European Higher Education Area) in science, e.g. analytical chemistry, quality control, pharmacy or another relevant subject;
  • relevant professional experience in the field of analytical chemistry, quality control or pharmacy;
  • good drafting skills;
  • good communication skills for liaising with colleagues, experts and stakeholders;
  • very good knowledge of one of the two official languages of the Council of Europe (English), in both oral and written communication, and knowledge of the other (French).

You must also:

  • be a citizen of one of the 46 member states of the Council of Europe
  • be under 65 years of age at the closing date of this vacancy notice
