SPEAKERS

Stefan Almeling is Head of the EDQM Laboratory. He joined the EDQM in 2002 as a study director in the Laboratory Department. From 2009 to 2023, he was Head of the Analytical Chemistry Division and Deputy Head of the Laboratory Department. Before joining the organisation, he held several positions in medicine testing laboratories in Germany. Stefan holds degrees in pharmacy (Freiburg University, Germany) and food chemistry (Karlsruhe University, Germany) and has a PhD in the field of pharmaceutical analysis (Würzburg University, Germany).


Christian Zeine joined USP in 2019 as Senior Manager Scientific Affairs for the EMEA region, with a focus on Small Molecules, USP’s General Chapters and Impurities. Before joining USP, Christian worked for seventeen years in the field of pharmaceutical reference standards with a focus on impurities. His scientific expertise includes impurity testing, reference standards characterization and adjacent fields. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Organosilicon Chemistry from the University of Münster, Germany.
